From its northern border, the Regional Municipality of Peel stretches 63 kilometers from the rural township of Caledon to the shores of Lake Ontario. In between are two of Canada's largest cities: Mississauga (6th largest) and Brampton (11th largest). Peel region is at the heart of the GTA's transportation network, containing both Pearson International Airport and seven major 400-series highways.
Brampton is home to a diverse range of attractions: from Canada's largest water park to many cultural opportunities, including a Symphony Orchestra and the Heritage Theatre and Rose Theatre. The Peel Heritage Complex includes an Art Gallery, Museum and Archives.
Mississauga has more than 480 parks and woodlands, with opportunities for cycling, in-line skating, tennis, and soccer in summer and cross-country skiing, ice skating and tobogganing in winter. Some of the more popular attractions in Mississauga are the Woodbine Racetrack, the Living Arts Centre, and six great golf courses within the city limits. Mississauga is known as "Ontario's shopping capital", with village shopping in Streetsville and Port Credit, outlet malls, and Ontario's biggest mall, Square One Shopping Centre.
Caledon is a picturesque Ontario town, surrounded by several quaint country villages. Minutes from the bustle of some of Canada's biggest cities, the area is a quick retreat for fresh air and rural charm. Caledon is located along the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with unique rock formations, waterfalls and more. The Devil's Pulpit and Devil's Paintbrush golf courses are located within the Escarpment and offer golfers some unique views and amazing challenges.
