Located in Gatineau on the Ottawa River between the Alexandra and Macdonald-Cartier bridges, this expansive greenspace offers spectacular views of the Rideau Falls and the Ottawa skyline. The small stone house at the western end of the park is thought to have been built by Philemon Wright, the founder of Gatineau. In summer, the lawns are a favourite spot for picnics and impromptu sports matches. In winter, the site is transformed into a snowy activity park, with tobogganing and snow tubing as main attractions. The park is also one of the main locations for Canada Day celebrations.
