Gateway to the vast Temagami wilderness, Finlayson Point is a base for canoeists, boaters, hikers and anglers. Camp here beneath towering stands of pine, swim at a sandy beach, dive in deep, clear water or hike to Caribou Mountain lookout. A plaque to Grey Owl honours this English imposter and conservationist. In the treed campground, the 117 campsites are secluded, some are next to the lake and all are a short walk to the beach. Each site has a fireplace and picnic table and is close to vault toilets and drinking water taps. Swimming Two sandy beaches slope into shallow, clear water. Children can frolic in a buoyed area close to change facilities.
