Whether you are on vacation, visiting relatives and friends, or doing business in the area you will enjoy fine dining and outstanding accommodations at The Robertson House Inn Bed & Breakfast. The Inn is a fine example of early Loyalist Georgian Architecture and has been "Plaqued" as a Historic Landmark under the Ontario Heritage Act. Originally erected around 1810 it may be the first building constructed in Brockville, and was first operated as an Inn. In the 1810's it developed a reputation as a haven for smugglers who hustled illicit contraband across the border. In the 1850's the Inn was purchased by Judge Malloch, who gave it as a wedding gift to his daughter Martha, and son-in-law David Robertson. The house remained as a private residence up until 1994 when it was purchased and changed back to a commercial property housing legal offices and the Inn, then a licenced dining room and Inn, as it is now.
