Merrickville Canalfest is a community event which celebrates the Rideau Canal and the surrounding area.
Events include: voyageur canoe races, musical entertainment, wood carving demonstrations, and "Spirits Rising", a Rideau Canal historical presentation by Parks Canada. As well, there will be boat tours, model boat displays and a pottery exhibit and sale.
