A unique collection of buildings is located at the site: The Star Inn, once a stagecoach stop, housing the original bar, believed to be the oldest in Eastern Ontario; the recently restored Olivier Hamelin Blacksmith Shop, among the last operating in Canada when it closed in 1984; a cheese factory, barn and livery shed, all appointed with antique equipment; the Roxborough Town hall; and a windmill, restored to working order. Special collections include photographs by the Alexandria photographer, Duncan Donovan; Gaelic books and bibles; a unique collection of the works of Ralph Connor. Other artifacts on display include furniture, clothing, textiles, china, farm tools and maps indicating the earliest farms in the area.
