Exhibitions deal with the pioneer heritage of the Goulbourn community , dating from the first settlement in 1818. The permanent collections include the Duke of Richmond display exhibits on the history of Stittsville and Richmond villages. The Goulbourn Museum holds many files which contain information relevant to Goulbourn's formation and local history. These files, which contain mostly short histories, original documents (deeds) and news clippings, were compiled by members of the Goulbourn Township Historical Society.
