The Canadian Ski Museum is the largest public collection of skiing memorabilia in Canada. The Museum was founded in 1971 by a group of local ski enthusiasts who had over the years collected a wide range of artifacts relating to the sport of skiing. Their mandate was to preserve the heritage of skiing in Canada by cataloguing and storing the various documents, artifacts, photographs and memorabilia they had collected, as well as accept new, important artifacts that have been donated to the museum over the last thirty years.
