The Barnum House Museum, built in 1811, has been lovingly restored. Original paint colours and wallpaper were reproduced to show Eliakim and Hannah's Barnum's decor of the 1820-1840 period. Barnum house was designated a National Historic Site in 1959. At the rear of the house, where an original drive shed once stood, a two-storey addition was constructed to house facilities necessary to support the house as a museum and community heritage resource centre. Barnum House is open for tour groups and special occasions only. We can host your wedding or special event.
