Welcome to the Kawartha Lakes Spirit Walks, a unique series of opportunities to learn about native people and their land in this region. By participating in these experiences, you will discover first-hand through the eyes and from the heart of the First Nations People of the Kawarthas, their distinctive history and culture. Visit Serpent Mounds Park at Hiawatha First Nation, where nine burial mounds enclose 2,000-year-old graves. Take a social history tour or nature walk at Alderville First Nation. Visit the shops, galleries and attractions at Curve Lake First Nation, the world's largest collection of canoes and kayaks at the Canadian Canoe Museum and "Teaching Rocks" at Petroglyphs Provincial Park. Customized group tours available.
