The town of Mattawa at the top of the Nipissing District marks the northern edge of Central Ontario, but is just the gateway to the vast lands of Northern Ontario - and a tourism region known as the Near North. From most of Southern and Eastern Ontario, Mattawa is less than a day's drive to experience some real wilderness, and great outdoor fun, in summer or winter!
